Windsong - Looking better every day

Windsong Charters has a 100% satisfied customer rating! The History of Windsong Then and Now   Windsong was purchased in April of 2006.  It has been a total labor of love restoring her back to glory.  Captain bob assisted in finding Windsong in Miami, Florida.  She had been a live aboard for 8 years.  We are the 4th owner during her short 29 years.  Windsong is a Formosa boat.  The hull was built in Taiwan and she was finished out in China by a family we are trying to research in our spare time....not!  The Captain and I have been traveling from Dallas to Houston practically every weekend to lovingly repair, replace & restore her.  Yes, we have heard every joke referring to a black hole for money and bring on another thousand many times over, but feel the vessel is unique!           New Sail Covers... The first thing we did was to start off replacing canvas to protect the sails & shade us from the brutal sun!  Of course we had to add the pirate flag - arrrrrrrrr               Previous owners had replaced the rotted out teak decks with fiberglass.  We had the decks ground down, re-surfaced and re-painted...sorry no black soled shoes allowed! We also repaired a major leak around the cockpit.  Which of course lead to painting & we're still not through!     New Decks, Dodger and Bimini top   Currently we are in the process of re-finishing teak on the exterior.         Old NO Electronics...   We added all new electronics - There was nothing on the vessel when we purchased her!            New 12volt, 110 wiring & navigation station - with Bluetooth interface to Helm - 3006C GPS Chartplotter, Raymarine ST-6002 Smart Pilot               Let Windsong be your Sailboat Charter Company for Pirate Parties, Surprise Birthday Parties, Bed and Breakfast, Weddings, Dinner, Sunset, Team Building or Day Sailing Charters on Clear Lake to Kemah by NASA then on to Galveston Bay Texas.

Actually this photo is an improvement over the initial condition!                               All new galley - counters, sink, faucets, icemaker, microwave, water purification system, stove and new drawers...     Further renovation includes the addition of sea rail more drawers & new walls!                                 Galley and Salon    The cushions were deteriorated and extremely worn & soiled...29 might not be old for the boat but for the cushions - ya think! We re-built the cabinet & eliminated the poor pine patch job with teak!  The cushions were replaced with leather seating.                                                 We updated to a warm look of a slate table for the salon.                                                                                                   Thousands of pillows and 26" HDTV with a 250w theater system... 2 new 16,000 btu A/C units installed for additional creature comforts.
