Subject: RE: Fiberglass Repair
Bob,
"Since I work downtown Houston, nights or weekends are the only times available.
I leave home at 6am and get home at 6pm daily. However, I am off Friday Dec 10th and will be using my boat that day. Perhaps we can find some time that day? I will go out to the boat this evening to take a look at the fiberglass repair.I have to admit, you guys did the job very quickly… Dependable folks who keep their word
in the boat business seem to be a rare find, so I appreciate the relationships you have
established . Dave has high praise for your work ethic and professionalism.
That does mean a lot!" Talk to you soon, Don
The Island of Jost Van Dyke, BVI
Next months issue will cover both a new yacht & Broker.
JOST VAN DYKE, four miles long, is truly the "barefoot" island known by travelers around the world for its casual lifestyle, protected anchorages, fine beaches and beachfront restaurants and bars. Picture-postcard tropical isles, like Green Cay and Sandy Spit, Foxy's sends an invitation to a special place.
A main street that's a beach, the Stress Free Bar, a harbour known for its Lobster feasts, a bypass road that's just a short-stroll, the Soggy Dollar bar named for a patron who swam ashore and home of the Painkiller drink--this is the life that defines laid back!
A favorite destination of yachties, Jost Van Dyke hosts the famous Foxy's New Year's parties that make one giant raft-up of Great Harbour.
My most favorite spot is White Bay where you will find Sandcastle a hideaway favored with sea breezes, hammocks and beach strolls. And the home The Soggy Dollar Bar... Soggy Dollar Bar at Sandcastle, got its name from the soggy condition of the dollar bills from sailors who swam ashore.
The Painkiller, born here, is a delight made (strongly) from dark rum (often Pusser's), pineapple juice (4 parts), orange juice ( 1 part), and Coco Lopez (1 part sweetened cream of coconut) with fresh nutmeg ground on top (Pusser's recipe--the Soggy Dollar's is a closely guarded secret).
It is illegal in the BVI not to try its most famous drink! Soggy Dollar Bar Birthplace of the Painkiller.

Selling or buying a boat? It's a hard decision; who do you trust to point you in the right direction?
After working with brokers from Maine to the Caribbean for many years on both sail as well as power; vessels ranging from 30' to 150'; I found it's really tough to locate a broker that talks straight and works with you, "the buyer" or "seller" before, during and after you buy or sell. Today, too many people promise too much and deliver to little. It's just like boat surveyors but that's another article which we will cover in our 2012 issues.
Over the past 4 and a half years I've watched our local brokers and have selected the first one to feature based on my findings.
Little Yacht Sales is a relatively new brokerage firm founded in late 2010 and has a well seasoned staff with over 65 years of boating experience. Kent Little founder along with his wife, Liz have both been lifelong boaters. Kent spent 19 years at another local brokerage firm as well as he has over 28 years in professional yacht sales prior to venturing out in his own business.
Their team consists of Kent Little, Capt. John Brown, Capt. Rick Weiler, Capt. Jerry Webb (Port Aransas office), Capt. Bill Olson (Florida office) and our Senior Broker Josh Johnson. Each broker is an experienced captain and has one goal in mind and that is to do the job right the first time, something that has shown through their clients. (Read more)
Their experience in sail and power yacht sales both locally and nationwide allows them to find the right boat for our clients whether located here or out of state.
