Established in 2004, BobKat Adventures is World leader in outdoor adventures; hosting a series of multi boat adventure races, sporting and corporate events across the water. Home based on Galveston Bay, events include racing to a casual sunset cruises. BobKat provides successful corporate team building events, group activities, training and education programs, all designed to build camaraderie, boost morale, and enhance productivity.
BobKat Adventures started with a focus on Adventure Bay Racing and set out to create events that would offer the novice competitor to experienced athletes. With this philosophy in mind BobKat Adventures created the ever-popular "Win The Race" event. This race would cater for the intermediate to advanced competitor looking to compete at the next level. Likewise, the "Bay Max" races are popular amongst adventure-hungry city slickers of all fitness levels, taking place on Galveston Bay.
The team at BobKat Adventures Events are both enthusiastic and professional. Our aim is to offer team building events that meet our clients' needs whether they are planning an annual party or just a fun day out away from the office. The emphasis is on providing you all with an enjoyable and memorable occasion. Our events are designed and implemented with extraordinary attention to detail. Our Staff
Captain Bob holds a 100 ton U.S. Coast Guard Captains License and is PADI Assistant Instructor AIN-24507. He obtained his PADI Asst. Instructor certificate in March 2006. He is a member of the Maritime Consortium and is one of a few selected Sailing Charter Captains available for hire (depending on size of group) aboard Windsong Sunset Charters when you select a crewed or bareboat charter.
Captain Bob spent his corporate career in marketing, strategic planning, and sales for several large corporations. During his time in Corporate America he consulted BellSouth Corporation as Strategic Planner, Human Resources Technologies, Inc. as Strategic Marketing Manager, and spent 6 years as General Affairs Manager for Hitachi High Technologies Inc. Hitachi called upon Bob to return for a short period during 2008, 2009, 2010 as a consultant.
He started his chartering business in 1984 and set out on an adventure of a lifetime. Before heading up his chartering company he needed to accomplish a few things, like building a dive boat and getting his Dive Master certificate. To accomplish this he needed to spend 6 grueling months under the control of PADI Course Director, Gregg Johnson. During this time, he designed and had a 40’ custom dive boat built in Maine which he named Brain Storm I. The boat was trucked across land and launched in Ft. Lauderdale. In December ’84 he was ready to depart Florida for the Caribbean or at least thought he was… For the maiden voyage he needed to hire an experienced Captain to navigate and teach him the art of ocean travel. This entailed the hiring of one “Captain Fu”.
Bob participated in Antigua Race Week 1994 winning 2nd place, and has owned or managed chartering businesses in the Caribbean for more than 10 years. His blue water experience includes crossing the Atlantic from South Africa… that's another story.
He has logged over 50,000 blue water miles covering from South Africa, West Coast of Africa, St Helena to South America, Caribbean Islands and the Bahamas. And, has logged over 2,500 dives reaching depths of 150’. Now including Okinawa, Japan. Captain Bob’s boating experience spans over 20 years providing only the best in dinner cruises, sunset sailing, team building, and term charters. His passions include diving and sailing. Yachts that Captain Bob has managed, Captain or helded a partnership.
His yearning to return to his passion is now being shared with the love of his life, Katherine. He has now completed his PADI Assistant Instructor Certificate and has found another boat that will do for both sailing and diving charters. Windsong Sunset Sailing Charters has undergone a re-fit to improve her look and modern comforts.

Ms. Katherine - "Life can take you on an incredible journey if you are willing to take a risk and believe in yourself". Katherine was a golf fanatic until she discovered sailing with Captain Bob. The Captain learned to play golf so they are able to enjoy both pastimes.
